A Culinary student had the support of his local community, as he was
able to purchase all of his needed
cooking supplies and uniform for a competition he qualified to
compete in at the state level in Commercial Baking.
He
was able to purchase these items from donations given to him after
an article in his local newspaper featured him as a student with a
goal of going on to culinary school and majoring in baking and
pastry.
While
he didn't place the the top three at the competition,
his attitude was not faltered and he is now currently enrolled
full-time in the culinary program
at Illinois Central College.
